The Carrie's Dream Dance Scholarship Fund Annual Showcase provides the Santa Cruz County dance community with a unique opportunity for collaboration on an artistically excellent celebration of dance. Carrie's Dream was founded in 2014 in memory of Carrie Dianda McCoid, whose dream it was that all students in our community who wanted to dance would have that opportunity, regardless of their financial circumstances. Since then, our annual showcases have brought together hundreds of local dancers from a variety of dance studios and teams to perform a diverse array of dance styles. The showcases support the creative vision and hard work of local dance teachers, choreographers and students, and allow them to share their artistry and accomplishments with the community at large.

At our annual scholarship fund showcase, we have a silent auction that is available for bidding before the show begins, as well as during intermission. At the end of the show the winners are announced on stage and the items may be picked up and paid for in the front of the lobby.

Each show has a completely different spread of items to bid on.

Throughout the show there are live auction bidding wars that happen over our special hot ticket items that have been donated. In the past we have auctioned off staycations at rental properties, one pizza a month for an entire year( thank you Kianti's), outings with our most loved teachers, and even a puppy!
